When bikes are returned to us, we carry out a service on the bike carried out by one of our mechanics. With Kidching Bike Hub Assurance all the above repairs would be covered.
If you suffer sudden damage to your bike and you get the bike such as a snapped chain or punctured tyre and you get this fixed while under your subscription, we will also cover the cost of the repair. We will need to get this approved before carrying out the work and provide photos of the damage and receipt for the work and we will reimburse you.
We will not cover general maintenance of the bike, such s general wear and tear such as worn cables and any servicing you may chose to take out on the bike, will not be covered.

What to do If your bike is damaged?
What to do If your bike is damaged?
We expect a reasonable amount of wear and tear with our bikes, so don't worry about small marks and general service repairs (new cables, new tyres etc.)
However, if we suspect that the bike has been used outside of a usual child’s cycling then we may have to charge a fee for repairs. In extreme circumstances, we may have to claim back the value of the bike.
When we might ned to charge
-Damage to any part of the bike that means we must make repairs outside of our routine maintenance.
-Damage that affects the structural integrity or safety of the bike
-Damage that means the bike has to be written off.
Our bikes are pretty hardy things and it is rare that we have to claim back repair costs from a member. We hope that as long as you use your judgement and common sense, this won't be something that you have to worry about.
